Notepad 2020

Notepad is a simple text editor for Microsoft Windows and a basic text-editing program which enables computer users to create documents. It was first released as a mouse-based MS-DOS program in 1983, and has been included in all versions of Microsoft Windows since Windows 1.0 in 1985. And, it belongs to an application softwares.In other words, we can say that notepad is a application software and its by default file extension is .txt (Text).

How do I find my notepad?

To find Notepad on Windows:
  1. Click on Start or the Windows orb logo on the taskbar at the bottom of the desktop to show the Start menu.
  2. Click on Programs or All Programs to show a menu of installed programs in Windows.
  3. Click on the Accessories folder to expand it.
  4. Click on the Notepad icon to open the program.
How do I open HTML files in notepad?

Open the Windows Notepad text editor. Press CTRL-O or select "Open" from the "File" menu to open the HTML page you wish to edit. Change the type of file from "text document" to "all files" to list all file types and not just text files.
